Stood up and I don't care

Not one but two of my co-workers stood me up for dinner tonight (one actually did text as I was on my way) but I don’t even care because this mac n cheese with bacon is sooooo good!

I'll definitely be back to try the salmon too. Mmmm...

Women’s problems

There is nothing that makes me want to stab someone in the eye more during “that time of the month” than bathrooms that only let you have ¼ sheet of toilet paper at a time because the roll is too big for the dispenser.

Should I be concerned

A man I haven’t seen or talked to since Thanksgiving over a year ago (although he did send me a couple pro-Cheeto emails that I ignored) just emailed me just to ask “Mikki: what type of skin do you have?” That was it. The entirety of his email. 

??? 

I’m a little concerned that he may have watched Silence of the Lambs recently. LOL

Leaving soon for DC

Heading to D.C.on a birthday trip with my sister. 

I am touched and grateful for her generosity but also, just the tiniest bit concerned that we are gonna wear on each other’s nerves. 

I’m used to traveling alone. She’s used to traveling with someone who does whatever she wants. I’m fine with us splitting up for a while to do our own thing but she doesn’t feel comfortable doing stuff on her own. It’s my birthday but she’s paying so that alone might increase any diva attitudes on either side.

We are both excited to see the new National Museum of African American History & Culture that should bring us together. Reservations at Morton's won't hurt either. We are in much better moods when we are stuffed full of steak and chocolate lava cake.

I do love my sister and hope this is a great opportunity for us to grow closer but in case it isn’t, keep an eye out for us on the news. I’m the one with the purple & black hair. :-)
